An oil painting key visual depicting the Nordic landscapes for the Singapore National Youth Orchestra's (SNYO) “Hans Graf & SNYO: Sibelius and Gershwin” concert. The artwork, as requested by the Singapore Symphony Group team, aims to celebrate the Nordic background of Jean Sibelius' last piece, Symphony No. 2 in D, Op. 43. My approach to this project is to create a dreamy and whimsical visual to represent the mythical and dramatic characters of the concert, which includes Russian/Slavic folklore-based pieces such as Anatoly Lyadov's Baba Yaga, The Enchanted Lake, and Kikimora.
